Cleaning Candle Wax from Upholstery
Ah, the holidays—filled with joy, laughter, and, occasionally, a bit of spilled candle wax! If wax has found its way onto your upholstery, fear not—Sierge is here to save the day.
  1. Harden the Wax: First, let the wax harden completely. You can speed this up by placing an ice pack or a bag of frozen peas over the wax for a few minutes.
  2. Gently Scrape: Use a dull knife or credit card to gently scrape off as much wax as possible. Be careful not to damage the fabric.
  3. Iron and Absorb: Lay a paper towel or brown paper bag over the remaining wax. Set your iron to a low setting (no steam) and press it lightly over the paper. The heat will melt the wax, which will then transfer onto the paper. Repeat with a fresh paper towel until no more wax is absorbed.
  4. Spot Clean: Use a gentle upholstery cleaner to remove any lingering stains, following the manufacturer’s directions.
